JPG to PNG Converter

JPG to PNG accepts image/jpeg. JPG to PNG produces PNG.

For JPG to PNG, pNG output can retain canvas alpha. For JPG to PNG, webP or AVIF alpha depends on browser decoding and encoding support; re-encoding is not a guarantee that every source feature is retained.

For JPG to PNG, lossy output quality is passed to the browser canvas encoder, or clamped to 10–100 by the HEIC server path. For JPG to PNG, pNG canvas output ignores the lossy quality argument. For JPG to PNG, the setting is not a target file size.

For JPG to PNG, browser image paths draw decoded pixels to canvas and encode a new file. For JPG to PNG, the code does not copy EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP, original filenames, animation frames, or other source metadata into the canvas output.

For JPG to PNG, success depends on the current browser being able to decode the selected source format and encode the requested canvas MIME type. For JPG to PNG, unsupported AVIF or WebP codecs can cause loading or output-type failure.
