PNG to JPG Converter

PNG to JPG accepts image/png. PNG to JPG produces JPG.

For PNG to JPG, jPEG cannot store alpha transparency. For PNG to JPG, this implementation fills transparent pixels with white unless a single-format page exposes and submits another background color.

For PNG to JPG, lossy output quality is passed to the browser canvas encoder, or clamped to 10–100 by the HEIC server path. For PNG to JPG, pNG canvas output ignores the lossy quality argument. For PNG to JPG, the setting is not a target file size.

For PNG to JPG, browser image paths draw decoded pixels to canvas and encode a new file. For PNG to JPG, the code does not copy EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP, original filenames, animation frames, or other source metadata into the canvas output.

For PNG to JPG, success depends on the current browser being able to decode the selected source format and encode the requested canvas MIME type. For PNG to JPG, unsupported AVIF or WebP codecs can cause loading or output-type failure.

For PNG to JPG, browser memory, maximum canvas dimensions, and device resources can still prevent large images from completing.

For PNG to JPG, the selected file is read and re-encoded in the browser; this page code does not upload it to the application server.
